When you think of doing genealogy research often times the less experienced person will think of looking through historical books that account major historical events and genealogical reference books; however the simple truth is that for most families the true treasure trove of genealogical information comes from sources that you wouldn?t normally think of. Things like church records, local county records, library records and more offer the richest genealogical information around. This may not always be the case, but it is true a great deal of the time.
